For anyone confused the garlic sauce is called toumia (thoum-eeya) while “garlic” is just toum (thoum)

I dropped everything and made this when you said it could make a shoe lace taste great. Its 2am but with such a steep claim I had to. Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen, toum will 100% make even mud taste amazing

I work in a lebanese restaurant and i made this a lot. a tip for you guys: cut the garlic in half and remove the core, that way the toum will not be spicy (unless you want that spice) but that way you will have a more neutral flavour.

Don't tell regular Americans about this. They will call it garlic toum.

It really is amazing stuff. In Michigan this is a cheep easy to make sauce. I found that mixing it with a spoonful of Greek yogurt or blue cheese makes the perfect wing dip. Sour salty savory and it makes my girls 🐈‍⬛️ smell like America

I've not tried it with a shoelace but it's great in sandwiches, potatoes and toast. ... For the night everyone has to eat and you can't afford takeout or make an effort cooking.... pasta and frozen peas with a few spoonfuls of toum tastes really good and is quite healthy 😊

In Spain we do it similar, but without lemon and adding bread and ground almonds for more consistency, it's like a dipping sauce

We make this a lot as Syrians, but we also add a whole egg to the mix, or just swap out the oil and egg for starch and yogurt.

I legit THIS SAUCE/spread and have been wondering how it’s made cuz only authentic places serve it. THANK for this recipe. Didn’t even realise it was so simple. JazakAllahu Khairan ✨

Here's some tips. Put your garlic cloves along with oil in the oven and roast it for about 10 minutes, take it out and blend it then and pour the extra oil and blend again. Then basically just the exact same steps which is lemon afterwards and yeah, blend, it'll taste so much better without the garlic chunks you see
