Man killed, woman hospitalized after being set on fire inside tent, Stockton police said

A man was killed and a woman was hospitalized after the tent they were in was set on fire Thursday in what Stockton police said was a domestic violence incident. "These are types of cases we rarely see in our city and this is just an awful tragedy where the suspect had no regard for human life," Stockton Public Information Officer Joe Silva said. Silva said the 40-year-old woman and 35-year-old man were inside a tent on Airport Way and Mormon Slough around 5:30 p.m. when the suspect set both the tent and the victims on fire.
