Man dead, woman in hospital after shooting in Oakville

A man has died and a woman is in hospital after a shooting in Oakville overnight. Police say at least two houses were also shot at. Carl Hanstke with the latest.

Born and raised in Oakville, at a time when life was simpler. Pretty much nothing between the QEW and #5 Hwy but open farmland back then. Wonderful childhood memories. Couldn't pay me enough to go back now.

With these types of things going on, it seems it would be wise to have some kind of a way to defend yourself.

It's a good thing though that a majority of these incidents don't take place with random people. They usually happen to those who are caught up in things that most of us wouldn't be involved with.
