It's a new six-part docu-series that delves into the impacts of climate change and meets with the people inside communities that are on the frontline of extreme weather events. Science Communicator Maiya May, host of "Weathered: Earth's Extremes", joined us to share how she traveled the world interviewing scientists and community leaders--including here in Oregon--who are working to build a more resilient future and developing solutions to mitigate the effects of global warming.

"Weathered: Earth's Extremes" is an evolution of the popular PBS Digital Studios YouTube series of the same name, which has amassed more than 30 million views on PBS Terra since 2020. This long-form spinoff immerses audiences into some of the most powerful and transformative weather on earth. This series aims to help audiences understand the big-picture shifts in weather mechanisms brought on by climate change while empowering them to plan, prepare, and offset the impact of these events.

"Weathered: Earth's Extremes" premieres Wednesday, October 2, on the PBS App and YouTube. For more information, visit the show website.
