BEMACS Lectures: mathematical modelling

The first 2020-2021 BEMACS (BSc in Economics, Management and Computer Science) lecture is by Alfio Quarteroni, Professor Emeritus at the EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology), Lausanne (Switzerland) and Professor of Numerical Analysis at the Politecnico di Milano (Italy).
He is the author of 25 books, editor of 9 books, author of about 400 papers, and editor in Chief of two book series. He is the recipient of numerous prizes from leading academic institutions all over the world and of two ERC advanced grants.
The presentation deals with the interplay between data science and computational science to efficiently solve real life large scale problems.
