I just realized... judging from the guest star billings (starting at 0:59)... Ryan, Esposito, & Lanie were not originally series regulars.

[Meanwhile, at 0:32... a "series regular" that didn't even get recurring guest star consideration... I think the 1st ex-wife (Jericho's "April Green", NCIS "Shannon Gibbs") ended up with more appearances.]



The show runners hadn't decided if Ryan, Esposito & Parrish were going to be permanently cast roles.

Having seen the show... does it really work without them?

You know, when people talk about the worst series finales ever, they usually refer to Dexter or Game of Thrones. And yes, those had problems. But none of them even come close to the colossal disaster that was the series finale of this show. It still pisses me off to this day that such a great series ended on such an awful note.
