I just bought a house and I had a really slow moving drain. I did this and it drains so great now!! Thank you so much!

Baking soda and vinegar worked miracles for my bathroom sink which was slightly stopped up when I moved in my house 3 years ago. My landlord went under the house trying to find the problem but it kept clogging up. He poured countless jugs of Draino in the sink but it didn't work. My dad finally told me that baking soda and vinegar had always worked for him. I decided to try it and was pleasantly surprised at how quick my sink began to bubble up nasty liquid gunk after pouring the mixture into the sink. After the process was done, we haven't had a single problem with the sink clogging and the water drains immediately when brushing my teeth or washing hands. Baking soda and vinegar are 2 common household items that are extremely useful for cleaning and fixing all kinds of problems with so many things! I always keep one of my small kitchen cabinets stocked up with boxes of baking soda and bottles of vinegar.

You should have something covering the drain in case one of those screws drops down it.

thought about doing this but wasn’t sure how to get the tub drain off. Is it necessary to take it off or is just removing the overflow cap good enough?

You can also use a 36" plastic zip tie to snake a drain and clear a clogged trap.

The problem I have is the plastic piece was broken by my plumber because he forced the toggle switch to go down because it was stuck. He did that that so I would be fooled that he fixed the toggle switch. He wiggled it and said see its fixed and left. Afterwards the tub wouldn't drain, sadly I didn't check with running water. I later opened it up my self and it was broke off and no longer connected so its stuck in there. What can I use to stick in the hole to manually grab the plastic piece to pull it out? The plug is stuck down so tub wont drain. Any advice is appreciated.

I just remove it and use my index finger and thumb and pull out the long hair 'bogger' screw it back on real simple, free and works. I put a towel over the drain in case I drop a screw.

Yes....cover your drains and access so that the screws you are taking out do not fall into the drain! That would be the first thing that I could see happening! It is a step on drain...I can't get mine removed...

My screws won’t come out and I stripped them. I guess you can say I’m “screwed”🤷🏽‍♀️

My issue is, my bath tub and fixtures look almost same as what Isaw the video. But I couldn't open up the drain, I usd flashlight to find there is a very small screw beneath, 1 inch below the drain, you can imagine it's impossible to unscrew it with usual screw drive. So I just tried using "DRAIN CLEANER"( a 1.5 feet long plastic ZIPIT with some bars from home depot) and home made metal wire to insert as deep as possible to reach any "soft dirty things", but nothing could be touched. Any body get any suggestion? Thanks!

I'll stick to the liquid acids to easily drain my bath tub, saves time far less money for a plumber and I really dont want to lose skrews .

I took the thing off the back of my tub and it doesn't look like your video. Now I can't get it back on and my water still won't drain. I'm worse off now.
