Every day astronaut has some extensive explanations about this. This is a little oversimplified.

I'm no rocket scientist, but really fascinated by how rockets work, the best sources of fuel would be O2/CH4 (Methalox) used in SpaceX Starship, and O2/Kerosene for most rockets. The O2 in rockets has a smaller tank as the oxidizer, and the other tank/s are larger for other types of fuel used. 😊
