I honestly like the match up, thinking narratively. Sam is just a dude doing his best, against impossible odds, and that’s what makes him captain America. How he makes it out is ultimately what distinguishes him from Steve. Also, didn’t he fight a gorilla dude in endgame?

Cap now has a Vibranium shield AND suit that'll absorb any impact, idk why y'all keep forgetting this. It's almost like you guys weren't paying attention when Bucky asked the Wakandans to make Sam that suit as a favor in Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

I think a Captain America fighting an Enemy that's way more powerful than him is honestly completely in line with the character, the reason I like Cap is because he never turns his back even when a fight has all odds stacked against him, so having Red Hulk be the main villain would be cool if they lean into just how outmatched Sam is compared to him and how that's still not gonna stop him from trying.

If he does actually beat him in a fair 1v1 though, then yeah that'd be some pretty damn big plot armor, but i hope they have him defeat Red Hulk in a more clever way than that.

I think I know the way he can defeat red hulk, because in the comics red hulk has a weakness and usually the angrier he gets the hotter and stronger he gets, but if he gets extremely angry, and he gets even more hot, then he starts getting weaker due to how much it’s burning so there’s a way for Sam Wilson to beat him just find is weak spot which is make him angrier
