James Webb Space Telescope's first deep field image is mind-boggling

It’s one of the most beautiful images I have ever seen. So many galaxies. Light from 13B years ago. The universe HAS to be teeming with life. So excited for scientific research using this amazing telescope

And that's just the size of a grain of sand. Imagine if we have a whole sky pictured like these! It's hard to say there's no other living species out there!

I've been saying it for a while, but where this telescope will really shine is in comparison pictures that accurately portray the resolution jump from Hubble to detail how much more powerful it is.

Whenever I look at the image of all the galaxies in such a small area and think of how many life forms their have been and all the trials that species have gone threw how many have come and gone in just that small area and to think this is just a grain of sand at arms length and how truly mind boggling it is to think we are the only intelligent life. It's amazing

The background lensing we are seeing is due to the cluster of galaxies in the middle of the picture, which is bending the light of the galaxies behind it. Truly amazing 😍
