Spirit on Mountain Street 2013

Thousands brought their appetites and their school spirit to Jacksonville State University Stadium on September 5, 2013 for a great cause!

"Spirit on Mountain Street," is an annual evening of food and fandom that benefits the Jacksonville Christian Outreach Center, a local agency that serves those in need. Some of the services they provide are utilities assistance, Christmas angel project for underprivileged children, and back-to-school supplies assistance.

Jacksonville State University, the City of Jacksonville and area civic organizations team up to co-host the annual gathering at JSU Stadium. The event features the perennial favorite "Taste of the Town," a tasters fair in which area restaurateurs provide food samples that may be purchased by the ticket. This is followed by a community-wide pep rally featuring the JSU Gamecocks football team and the internationally-acclaimed Southerners and Marching Ballerinas, along with teams and bands from Jacksonville High School, Pleasant Valley High School and Jacksonville Christian Academy.

It was a great evening of fellowship! Thanks to everyone who came out to help us with this great cause! We look forward to seeing you next year!
