great explanation! ... I have a question... if you are going lower in tones shouldn't the new chords sound lower too? to me they sound higher since you are using mostly the first strings and higher frets... total noob question. thanks

Thanks Jeremiah, but this whole thing sounds "boomy" and indistinct to listen to. Your speech is also sometimes too rapid, low volume and unclear. Your theory has merit, but sadly I had to turn it off and abandon it early because it sounds terrible to me. I have to wonder if it is your choice of microphone that undermines the audibility of your presentation ?. Do listen to it yourself and give it to us again. Every tutorial has something to merit consideration and further study of. All the best to you.
