Tip #1 has helped me a lot because I kept trying to perfect parry and dodge everything and I getting my head knocked clean off my shoulders. 😭

Another really good tip is to get good at parrying. Parrying is very important because it breaks the enemy’s structure a lot quicker than damaging them, and for the final boss you need to parry more than hit him because he’s too fast to get his health down. So it’s not just about dodging and hitting, but parrying too.

Hold to avoid alone is a hugeeee tip, I was in level 4 when I finally figured this out. Went back and killed the first 3 bosses and ended up cutting A LOT of years.

The dodging is pretty good, the final boss for the club gets kinda ridiculous though, you can dodge but you have to be careful because I’ve had instances of dodging right into an attack game can be weird sometimes but it was worth the purchase

That's a great strat for combining charged backfist. I never really used it. My go-to strat was to unlock Power Sweep first, and also unlock back-forward strong-attack sweep. When enemies get their legs swept, they take a good, long time to get back up, which can really help with some of the more crowded rooms in the Museum and the Tower.

I earnestly practiced pulling off a back-forward-attack leg sweep the moment a perfect parry landed, and it really paid off.

Tip that helped me through the first two levels: The “back-forward square” combo that is unlocked when you start the game makes any normal enemy drop their weapon. Use this to grab a crowbar or bamboo stick at the beginning of a fight and you’re golden.

Hmm. Something no one seems to have understood: you can utterly abuse jumping over obstacles. For example you can jump over the bar in the club main area and only one enemy will chase you. Jumping makes you invincible so it also allows you to avoid attacks.

Another good tip for those having a hard time:

Don't sleep on the *SQUARE, SQUARE, TRIANGLE* combo (the one where you end the combo with a kick that staggers enemies).
This combo got me through every tough enemy and bosses in this game with ease. Staggers opponents, extra damage if they hit a wall, makes them drop their weapon, etc.
