Hi Kristen, I really loved that episode. I felt like you were speaking directly to me and for me. I am a big person. Being 6 feet tall, I must admit that I am not encouraged by what pattern designer class as being made for tall women. I mentioned quite awhile back that I have not sewn since I was in my early twenties. I am grateful for this review of things that don't take much fabric to complete, because what is an encouraging aspect of these blouses is they are all very easy to sew and looked lovely on. I have always loved the prints you have used in your sewing. The end result is always a glorious look that suits you perfectly. I am excited as I actually can see me sewing, in addition to enjoying others (particularly The Dahlia Sewciety) make wonderful creations that up to this point, I have only dreamed of making! Thank you, so much, for inviting the camel make herself at home and actually become a sewing member, rather than being satisfied to just stick her head into the tent as she happens by. 🤸‍♀️💃🏼🎉💖

Thanks so much for putting this together, it’s a great reference for me as I’m getting into sewing. Also I just love hearing the sounds of the birds and nature in Australia all around you! ❤

Love these types of vlogs Kristen, easy to refer back to, not only your video but the comment section turns into a wealth of recommendations! I’ll be looking at this again soon as Spring is really coming to life now!

You showed some great tips, Kristen, and so many I haven’t seen! I’m ready to sew up some of my linen and rayon. 😊 I need help picking good pant patterns, too, so I’m looking forward to that vlog.

I have that rhapsody top as well and it just so beautiful. I haven't made it yet but every time I see it I really want to make it. Maybe you should have a sew along for it or a let's all make it and show it off. I'm no so much into tutorials😆. My favourite top for summer is that Michelle top by Jallie. It's just so perfect and is in kids through to adults size range. Love it. Great to hear from you again ❤

Great video. Really looking forward to the pants vlog. I’ve been looking for a pattern for linen trousers with elastic back. The two you mentioned sound great.

Thanks so much! I’ve been waiting for you to do this one ever since you mentioned you were going to! Sometimes the budget dictates and this has been a tremendously beneficial episode. Thanks for doing the detective work for us! Happy sewing. Xoxo

Great vlog Kristen, just love a boxy top, especially in linen. Perfect for summer. I have a few of the patterns you have mentioned, wonderful makes and a few that I would like to try. Thank you for sharing. I also recommend Nerida Hansen Shell top (takes only 1m of fabric) and Cuff Sleeve Top (takes 1.5m of fabric). I've made a few of these 2 patterns, great with skirts, pants, jeans and shorts. Really quick and beginner friendly makes with great instructions. Only down side, not a large size range. Thanks again, as always love your platform 😊

I don't remember what pattern company it is from, but the Scout Tee is a nice simple woven top. I've only made one but I definitely want to make more. I used a drapey rayon and I love the fit. No darts and a bias neckline. Super easy but versatile.

That makes me feel much better. Interesting vlog. Loads of good patterns. Have spent a frustrating day making thai fishermans pants for a friend. The pattern just didn't work and had to start over. Yes toile is the answer .

Like everyone else who has commented - loved this one! so informative and inspiring. My favourite at the moment is an oldie form simplicity -5161 - there are a few neckline variations too - this year I've made 4 for summer. (Aussie summer) I put on weight and don't fit my existing clothes. Boohoo

What a great vlog! 1.5m is an easily manageable amount. I have made the Assembly Line cuffed top a couple of times. I have the Cielo pattern but am keen to make it up now. Thank you, Kristen. Motivating as always.

I really like Style Arc's Robin top. Easily do it under 1.5m. Nice bit of shaping and I wear it with a straight skirt or trousers. The Rhapsody is worth sewing up. I've made it sleeveless and with sleeves. So many variations, it is good value.
