I've just got back from the hospital following laproscopic surgery for endo. I've been dismissed for years until I put my foot down and essentially demanded a referral. Even before the surgery today, my surgeon said that it's "unlikely" to be endometriosis. Well, guess what? It is endo. I feel vindicated, relieved, but also a little angry that it's taken this long to get a diagnosis (I've been back and forth to the doctor re this since I was 13; I'm now 39). One thing I've just realised watching this is that no one has told me anything about recovery beyond the first 5 days.

Found out I have endometriosis. I got severe sepsis at 25 from ovarian cyst rupture and later found out endometriosis was growing on my colon and kidneys

They gave me to wear an abdominal binder at the discharge, which I have worn for 2 weeks now. My Dr is not insisting on it (and she is super skilled). I feel better for support it provides. Any opinions?

@doctorrich Hello there, I'm in recovery still after almost 10 months later😢 I didn't even have endometriosis at all just some abscess the gynecologist told me and now I have chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, im so afraid of getting scar adhesions and them blocking my fallopian tubes or something..and theirs nothing I can do as my gynecologist discharged me as a patient and referred me to chronic pain center in another city and I dont have a vehicle at this time. Such a bad thing to be stressing over with the pain getting worse idk what to do
