Steve Austin is the definition of going through hard times to get to the good times. Good for Steve. What a career he had.

In the Stone Cold autobiography I had as a kid, I remember it said Stone Cold lived off of potatoes and tuna

Jeff said this to a man who was surviving on tuna and Raw potatoes

Jarrett also did a promo in wwf where he said Austins 3:16 gimmick was blasphemous and it pissed Austin off because he thought it would hurt his merchandise sales.

They completely danced around it. There's no way Austin was truthful about why he turned down the program with Jeff. They would have been good matches and Austin would probably have won all of them.

I love getting high watching these Dutch clips just to see his mustache move as he talks

I'm a big Austin fan but this was a pretty petty grudge IMO.
If Slapnuts was the one who printed the check, then maybe Austin would have a reason to be mad but JJ wasn't lying when he made the statement.

Every genius performer seemingly has this moment that just sticks with him or her and lights the fuse. The Moment when the Junior high school Coach cut you (Michael Jordan). Or when you were picked after everyone else in the draft (Tom Brady).

i think dutch has got the time frames mixed up. steve started in memphis after being trained in texas (barelY) by one of his exes ex hubby's. i think this happened in 89-00 before he hit wcw in 91. i dont' think it was after his wcw run.

Steve was absolutely correct. He wasn't in a top position he was THE top guy by a mile. He woulda been stepping away down to work with Jeff at that point in time. Matches woulda been good Jeff was a great worker but it woulda hurt Steve

Argh, the old AUSTIN/JARRETT feud... Least Dutch will say the truth, and how much SCSA actually hated Jeff.

I hope that Steve Austin grew thicker skin since then.

Wrestling fans thought the WWF talent heavy roster was a win for them and it was in the short term . Long term, wrestling shrank dramatically and choice did too .

Sounds like Austin was right about working with JJ though. Is that personal? Doesn’t sound like it.

the austin jarrett pay check thing is nothing.. look what happen, when dick the bruiser, short change bruiser brody on his pay check.. major fight in the dressing room.. in st. louis they were both on a card months later dick the bruiser, gave brody his rest of the money, they shook hands.. i think sam muchnick had something to do with that.. sam was fair money guy

jeff jarrett would be nothing if his Dad wasn't in the business. austin is great even in podcasts. so over

one of the reasons for this was that jarret was always chasing Debra. God's honest truth, until she told steve about this. jarret than ''somehow'' left WWE. I just wish they could have a match for real, to actually see Austin beat his weasel ass..cannot stand jarret.
