Hijab is banned in even Muslim-majority countries such as Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Syria, Tajikistan, and Tunisia.
REASON Many of these countries feel that things like hijab and burqa may promote radicalism and create security risks.
