Why do people want USELESS features on cameras?

I use 2 smartphones and smartphones have pause (although I did just get a DJI Pocket 3 to replace on smartphone). In my infancy, I used the pause button and one time it cost me an entire video!! From then on, I let both camera roll and focused on learning to edit instead. Best thing I could have done. You are so spot on!!

The pocket 2 had a pause function, long pressing the record button. Did they remove that from the pocket 3?

Ive never understood this mate. I see it every time a new phone comes out that doesnt have a pause button. People carry on about "Im not buying that, it cant pause video recording..." My head goes through this entire video in my head every time I see it.

I see people constantly having something to say but they keep hitting the pause button every few sentences. I am not a fan of that.
