Ingredients required :
Carrots
Dill (fresh )
Garlic cloves
Sliced onion
Crushed Red pepper
Sea salt (2tbsp)
Filtered water ( 2 cups)
Equipment used :
Fermentation Jar
Recipe:
Peel and wash carrots. Cut into sticks.
Transfer into fermentation jar -crushed garlic, sliced onions,Dill and Carrot sticks.
Adjust the carrot sticks and pack tightly using a light weight .
Mix Sea salt and filtered water to make brine. Place weight on top and see that that the carrot sticks are submerged under the brine.
Place the lid and airlock.
Keep aside for fermentation in a dark place for a week . Ensure that the carrots are submerged I brine.
Taste the carrots after a week or two .
Tasty ,crunchy lacto fermented probiotic carrot sticks are ready to use.
Remove the air lock and refrigerate .
