Love making soap. Been doing hot and cold process for years. I love Bulk Apothecary for my essential oils but plan to check out Lone Star due to your reccomendation on several of your tutorials.

I would assume that melting the initial soap would also work in a pot on stove top?? Yes or no??

It's not similar. Maybe melt and pour, but, that's not soap making. You actually make your amazing candles.
Remember, I'm a soap maker... Not a candle maker. I watch your tutoriasl to learn how to make candles, so I can make them as gifts one day. So I guess I can tutor you about soap making.
Melt and pour is NOT making soap. It, by law, can NOT even be labeled homemade. People do put handmade on it though.
But.... If you and your family would like to learn how to make soap.. let me know, and I'll gladly assist you.
I'm the person that headed the 4 year FDA study, (finished it In October 2017) on soap, as part of my biochemistry masters study. I've aldo been making soap for over 35 years. I might have a little info to share on that subject. 😁😀😁😀
I still haven't braved a candle yet. I did melt, color and scent a wX melt, just to see if it came out ok. The shape and scent, yes. Not the color though. Lol
