TransferWise (Full Guide) | Cost Comparison + How to Register & Transfer in 15 Minutes

In this video, I will show you how much money you can save by using #Wise, formerly #TransferWise (as opposed to Foreign Telegraphic Transfer with banks), as well as the step-by-step guide for you to register an account and perform an international transfer, all within 15 minutes!

I use a Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) to Singapore Dollar (SGD) transfer as an example but the steps are almost the same for any currency supported by TransferWise, including US Dollars, UK Pounds, Euros, HK Dollars, Indonesian Rupiah, Japanese Yen and many more.

TransferWise is an online account that lets you send money, get paid, and spend money internationally. With a TransferWise account, you can send money abroad and get paid in other currencies.

Banks and other providers often set their own, unfriendly exchange rates. It means that you pay more than you need to, and they pocket the difference. With TransferWise, you'll always get the real mid-market exchange rate - like you'd find on independent sources like Google, XE, Yahoo Finance or Reuters.

Note:
1) TransferWise have been rebranded to #Wise.
2) "Online FPX" have been renamed to "Easy Transfer" under Transfer Type.

📌ACH Transfer for Malaysians, please read❗️
If you are not aware yet, Wise has 2 services on their app:
A) Overseas remittance service (sending money overseas, as shown in this video) - no issue with this, can proceed to use 😊

Other than that, please use Wise as you wish as it is still licensed in Malaysia 😊

Hi Ziet! New subscriber here, will be referring your video to my step dad in us so he can send through bank transfer to mom with TransferWise. He used to send through Western Union but he can't send through it anymore. They said that dad should comply some paper works etc. Hopefully, this works! God bless

At 4:50 to snap photos and upload to Wise, I ran into the problem "Cannot open camera" issue. Do I need to install any app to turn on my phone camera, can someone teach me? Thanks.

Hi Wei, thank you for the video. You mentioned about opening CMIB account? I am a Singaporean having a local bank, not CMIB. Is that ok? Or must it be CMIB account? Thanks! B/w, really enjoy your video😊
