Things I learned from this video. :D
1. You don't need an elaborate Intro. Just get to the thing.
2. The first 30 seconds should be where you propose your value. :D
3. Use Bright Colors in your Thumbnails
4. The *Foreground* should be brighter.
5. Minimal Clear Text is helpful!

Keeping videos short and up to the point is even better than the hook. A 40 second bug compilation is really good.

Don't let the lack of views and subscribers discourage you. Remember, success takes time and dedication. Keep creating, stay positive, and believe in yourself.

Keep up the good work, friends! If we keep working towards our dream, we will have fun and be successful!

That's a good point that we need to keep the viewer hooked for the first 30 seconds not just (1) to encourage them to watch more of the video but also (2) so the YouTube algorithm/recommendation systems starts recommending the video to others.

I didn't really think about it like that before.

Exactly, well said VidIQ. Success is not only hard-work but smart-work. YouTube is a business, seeking for engaging content. Make videos about what people care, and put energy in what matters!

I've been focusing a lot more on thumbnails lately and my newest video is doing far better than the rest of it's series since I got to the change on it sooner. Now I'll see how the rest do as I upload under a better schema overall. I've been making the mistake of keeping the intro reading in for my series up to this point as well and that will be dropping in my videos from now on as well. Was listening to the one that didn't have it and it really was just a better experience.

Can someone tell me why my SHORTS get pushed out to the country of my origin not to people living in the US (target audience because of basketball content)?

I have signed up with VidIq some time ago and watched all their videos and completed their academy and i can finally see some changes in my own channel. I observe and analyse better the content i watch to get inspiration and i can see small improvements finally. Get the highest first 30 sec % you can, get a decent CTR and make a video that can get at least 30% of retention time. I found those to be the essentials for my channel. Thanks for making those amazing videos!

There's so much value I get from this video as I just started to get monetized last month. Makes me feel 3x better and motivated to just keep improving. Subbed! Great stuff!

Sometimes I have to completely finish a thumbnail to realize that it's not good enough, but that's part of the process! Going through multiple rounds of revisions is normal, and only helps improve your end results.

I'm glad you guys made this video! We're pretty new to all this but I was already thinking that I need to cut the fluff at the beginning of our videos and I've got the encouragement now. I'll definitely be investing more time into Thumbnails and titles and the first 30 secs. Our videos average a CT rate of 3%. Hoping to see that increase somewhat.
Thanks yet again for another insightful video VidIQ!

Even if the views aren't pouring in right away, perseverance is key. 🙏

Another wholesome and very helpful video. Hope these awesome tips and trick can help all of our channels grow and gain more views. I've dropped 4 vlogs out and slowly improving with each video/short. The youtube journey is an endless learning curve but as long we improve and have learnt something new each video, then I'd say we're winning!

THANKS VidIQ!!
