I say the 3 knifes you need is a pocket knife, a fixed blade and a multitool. 👌🏼

How can you show knives you sell and not give links?

I have two pocket knives, and that's it. One hawksbill and one sheepsfoot, both 3 inch blades. That's enough for my daily uses, including cooking, and I use them for whittling as well. A fixed blade isn't needed for outdoor work. A folding blade works just as well. I tend to use my hawksbill for everything except food since it's amazing for drag cuts. It's easy to get a light cut into something since you don't hold the knife at an uncomfortable angle and don't need much pressure.

Personally think there’s a 4th knife to add to that list. The one with a strictly tactical rather than practical purpose. The one you know will get you out of a dangerous situation, although it’s one you hope to never actually be in, due to which its steel choice isn’t as important as ease of access, (defensively speaking) intimidation factor, and ergonomics. Abiding to national and regional laws of course, an OTF fits well there imo.

I, after taking a lot of test drives, have settled on one knife to perform the three functions described in the vid. One other important function wasn't discussed, putting a threat down. My chosen EDC performs this task very efficiently as well. One to do all, instead of 3 or 4 to each do one thing well.

Benchmade 945 and cold steel 4-max are my main knives, complete polar opposites. Ka-bar swabbie and the other 945 also see good use, various other knives like a gerber fast 06 and a little boker dagger are sitting somewhere.

I've been carrying a fixed blade everyday. I honestly prefer it for work over a folder. I carry a nice folder on the wknds

These are the three TYPES of knives we need. How many knives in total was not stated 😊

Agreed, but might argue for a good filet and bread knife

Leatherman, Glock boot knife, M&P shield are good options too

You can cook with any knife I would of said spring assisted a full tang fixed blade and a multi tool like a leatherman. A multi tool be handy before during and after fishing same for other activities. It just depends on the multi tool and owner of the multi tool

Lapg made a slim folding knife with a tanto style blade a while back. I bought it 3 years ago for $36. To this day it is my favorite knife to carry

For me it's survival knife(camping and pocket knife become one), kitchen knife(whenever I went camping or something similar, I found that handling food stuff with kitchen knife is much more easier than using other), and last one is either machete or khukhuri, I mostly use machete tho for exploring wilderness or cutting coconuts open! 😊
