For a non AAA game this game is amazing.
Imagine Sniper Elite crossed with Hitman and just a pinch of Metal Gear Solid.
3 long shot missions and 2 HUGE classic missions may not sound like alot but the first classic mission took me over 4 hours to complete on the hardest setting alone and with challenges similar to Hitman you will replay maps many times over.

I'm loving what CI Games is doing with this series; I finished SGW3 recently, and although I liked the open world, I think this hub based missions from Contracts is better (not to mention less demanding for my rig).

You forgot to mention the DLC weapons that, from the descriptions sound like they offer a clear advantage over anything in game

A.I. observation is fine. It's just that the soldiers with binoculars can spot you from a good distance.

I had a lot of fun playing this game. I spent 30 hours on the Xbox series X version, and now also bought the PS5 version ( to experience it with adaptive triggers). One big difference between ps5 and xbsx version i noticed immediately that the visual mode runs much worse on ps5 (with annoying frame drops), and the resolution seems lower in performance mode on ps5 as well. The adaptive triggers feel awesome though on ps5. When it comes to the game itself, gameplay is extremely immersive and fun with my only gripe being the uselessness of the drone. There are anti drone towers almost everywhere so it just doesnt feel like worth it to try to use the drone to dodge the tower range. It just feels easier to use your binoculars (which you can upgrade to 36 x zoom later), and just use a good sniper rifle (there is one you can buy which has 100% noise reduction and upgrade to extreme long range scope, so you can just pick enemies like chickens from a super long range and they wont even cause an alarm). The great thing about this game is that you can use differnt ways to approach the same situation, thus a lot of replayability. For me this is my favourite sniper game to date (i find this way better than Sniper Elite series)

Prepatch on series x was really stuttery. Post patch, holy hell this game runs like butter and is super impressive actually. Just the overall flow of the levels is the best they have ever done, im enjoying this just as much as sniper elite, something i never thought i would say

I wish a game would get sniping right. Bullets don't push people back they go right through them..
