Sketchup Component Copy & Place Between Separate Files

Please Read:

Here is how I draw specific components from one Sketchup Model to another. This way you don't have to redraw the component and you don't have to download the whole model into your current model. If you did that, you'd get all the layers, compontents, and textures of the imported model into your current model even if it is unwanted. Even though there are probably different ways, this is the way I know. Enjoy :)

This works very well. I had been importing models and your tutorial informed me that I can 'save as' groups and components from within models.without saving entire model.

SU downloads into a file that I cannot find while I'm inside the SU platform. I cannot find the components, textures, etc that I want to use and share between models.
Tearing my hair out!
