The last part where we see the different lights from the Emperor, Schnizel and Lelouch just shows how many masks they wear.The Emperor wears one of the cold hearted king and of the peace loving man, Schinzel wears the mask of the kind hearted king but also that of a cold hearted mastermind whereas Lelouch wears so many different masks, to the school he's the Shikamaru, the genius who doesn't take the effort, to the Black Knights he is Zero, the one who will save Japan, to the world he is the Devil, and lastly, a loving brother to Nunally. One of the reasons why Lelouch won in the end was because of how many masks he wore, in order to keep manipulating people to bring peace. That's why I feel when Schnizel and the Emperor have only the red and blue lights, whereas Lelouch has a bloody rainbow, it just shows how much Lelouch has gone through in order to make his and Nunally's dreams come true.

Every time Lelouch appears at the beginning I start crying, this opening makes me always remember how great Code Geass was, doesn't matter how many anime I've watched not a single one can come close, my second favorite anime is Steins;Gate tied with Parasyte the Maxim, but the gap between them and Code Geass is like 1 billion light years.

Rewatching R1, it's interesting how the knightmares went from lumbering machines to cyborg ninjas. Sort of like the Eva's between NGE and the Rebuilds. Like, the Lancelot felt special because it was the only one that wasn't a slightly faster tank.

I love when some openings implement things like this.

There's something that just goes off in my head, it just enjoys seeing all the characters go by.
Along with a really good song, picture perfect.

This song takes me back, and rejuvenates my soul and hardens my resolve in declaring that Code Geass was, is and forever will be, the Single GREATEST Anime EVER MADE.

Despite the song being upbeat, the message is actually pretty sad, considering you can interpret this as lelouch saying his job is done, and he has no place in the world now that he fixed it for his little sister.
