Just FYI all these peeps were rich billionaires who payed 250k a ticket and entered a submarine that wasn't inspected by any major submarine administration. Which the owner of the sub who died inside complained about, because he thought that the regulations were too safe.

The submarine was controlled by a $20 video game controller and wasn't capable of communicating with the outside world. It was honestly a dumb way to go. Deep condolences. I hope people learn from this tragedy.

Thats so sad. This young boy 19 years old wanted to have a amazing experience with his dad and died like that. my son is 21...crazy to think i would inside this thing with him..

If I was a billionaire and had the opportunity to do crazy things like going down to see the Titanic I would probably still just sit at home and play video games lol. But I hope the families find some kind of peace now that they know exactly what happened.

If you think about the shape, you can see why it failed. I'm surprised it lasted the first trip. If you ever broke an egg, you would see how easy an egg breaks by it's sides. From top to bottom, an egg is impossible to break. The Titan was virtually an egg on its side, the weakest points, with the weight pressing down. They said the depth was like 17 empire state buildings, now imagine 17 buildings resting on top of that small ship. My guess is, it broke from the roof first. That much weight coming down at once, I can't see much being left to recover. I feel bad for the families, and hope it ended quickly for the 5. First time I ever really prayed for someone. And that was before finding out of the implosion.

Not rocket science. Titan's hull was made of carbon fiber instead of industry standard metallic. Viewport was certified to 1, 300m depth. Titanic rests at 3, 800m. Ocean Gate played Russian roulette with each dive. Not a matter of if but when.
