Buying stocks might seem easy, but picking the right one without a solid plan is tough. I've been trying to grow my $100K portfolio, but the tricky part is not having clear plans for when to buy and sell. Any tips on this would really help.

In my 50s, I'm focused on investments for retirement to meet my day to day needs while i travel and also get charged lesser taxes even while in a higher tax bracket. My employer 401k of $1m returns about 4%. What would you advice to do with my portfolio for improved returns?

> When you read articles about financial freedom, you may hear people talk over and over again about how they spend next to nothing to be able to retire at a younger age like 30. Instead, they may have already achieved financial freedom and boast about how frugal they were in order to retire well before the typical retirement age.<>

__These are fantastic takes, I feel exceptionally lucky I started investing in my early 40s and consistently compounded my income via assets to create more cash flow. I grew to a 7 figure well-diversified portfolio having exposure to different prolific investments mainly savings account, stocks, bonds and high yield dividend funds. Forever grateful to my adviser Olivia Maria Lucas. Passive income is mandatory for building long term wealth.

Retirees facing financial challenges often couldn't save enough during their working years. Retirement decisions play a pivotal role. Despite my parents having similar years in civil service, my mom invested with a wealth manager, while my dad relied on his 401(k). As a result, my mom retired with approximately 3.7 million, whereas my dad retired with around 1.4 million

Well that would be impossible to do considering I'm in my late 50s and I'm more interested in investments that could set me up for retirement in my 60s, my goal is at least $2million.

I think the stock market will do well in 2024, so I'm thinking of putting $220, 000 into stocks for my retirement. Any advice on doing this safely? Also, any important tips for the current financial situation?

Now with covid-19 social distance is compulsory. I choose 2 do light balance exercise & yoga at home. walks is a must together my devotion time & on-line bible studies. Home cooking is a MUST as I go organic esp 4 veg & fruits. VERY important don't forget my supplements & good 5-6 deep sleep every night. Fitness is life.

I’m 70 and have been in retirement since 2007 after being a surgeon for 29 years, and over those past 14 years, I have taken up hiking, swimming, traveling, and just completing my bucket list. Life’s good in retirement.

Am not sure if I am ahead of my time but I already do practice the 9 habbits even before I was retired so is rolling on for me. May be the only thing to comment is that I cut off from is toxic people and may be jujemental familly member. I do love my independence . I also have to work very hard and dicipline myself to keep healthy as with out that, nothing or very little seeing in that video is possible . That is the greater secret of keeping my independence and the quality of life .

I am still employed and I love my work. I'm now 80 but in good health. I started doing oil painting and playing the piano in preparation to retirement. I became good at them but got bored after a while and don't do them anymore.
I don't know now what to do when i eventually retire someday.

It’s paradise. I’m still on the doorstep. I cannot believe it’s true. I live in the country, have 3 young horses and 2 retired older horses. I’m an obsessive compulsive cleaner. I never feel bored. I love not having a schedule. I love being free to do whatever I like. I like to refinish furniture and organize my home. No complaints or feeling useless. If I feel that way at some point, I might tutor students, but after 30 years in the classroom, I’m not feeling the tug.

I'll probably never retire. I'm self-employed and my 'work' is my social life too. I can always cut back the days (and do).

❤ I m at retired of age but still enjoy working full time (actually casual contract) in this mid Winter to get my physical fit and some pocket money. But ready to travelling anytime when the world is more save from the Covid pandemic otherwise look forward to do gardening in my backyard in Summer time coming. 😜

Been retired now going on 8 years. I don't miss anything about working. You don't need a hobby. You don't need to travel. If you teach, that means you are still working, if you are still working you are not retired. You don't need to volunteer. If your thoughts are already in your head, there is no reason to write it down. You don't need to do sports. If you need to look for things to do in retirement, or if you are bored in retirement it means only one thing. You are doing retirement wrong. You don't need a guide. You already know. You used to call it weekends, holidays and vacations. By the way you cant be retired and still be working. The literal defintion of "retired" is no longer working. You don't "need" to do anything new. You just need to do more of the things you have always enjoyed. Don't overcomplicate it.
