There is no question the pandemic has been tough. The world was forced to find a new normal, with some people saying it's taken a toll on their mental health.

But a new study has found that COVID-19 had a limited impact on global mental health in the first year of the pandemic.

Canadian researchers reviewed 137 studies from around the world that measured people’s overall mental health, as well as depression and anxiety levels, before the pandemic and then again in 2020.

They were surprised to find a minimal overall change at a population level.

But as Katherine Ward reports, the research suggests there are some groups who struggled more than others.

Did you survey those who died of suicide?

I seriously doubt this. Doesn't match the temperature of society at ground level at all, regarding crime, social disruption, wage gaps etc. I was just told today during first aid training "Canadian's went from 1/5 having mental illness to 1/3 with mental illness after COVID"

Canada's govt helped with this and caused harm to many Canadians and our msm has promoted it.

I don't support Ukraine, I don't support Russia.

Most importantly, I don't support the TV.

How about reporting on excess deaths that have increased since the vaccine mandates

Almost 3 years since the pandemic began this news piece honestly feels irresponsible. To say it wasn't as bad as we thought is frankly ridiculous.
