Matt Williams, I watch all of your videos and each time I am blown away by your ability to breakdown such complex issues into lucid components. If you ever wrote a book on essay writing I would be so interested. Would absolutely love it if you started your own YouTube channel I think you have as much appeal as Jordan Peterson when you speak. I am sure your anecdotes at Oxford would provide such unique insights. What a great job you are doing!

Thank you very much for this video!! So interesting and got several helpful tips on essay structuring which should hopefully help with section 2 of the TSA and all future essay endeavours! I especially enjoyed the breaking down of the word « should » into two major branches which should (haha) be incredibly useful! Would love to see a sample essay coming from these questions as I would like to know how to incorporate definitions into an intro without sounding too formulaic.

Personally, I disagree with splitting the term "should" into only 2 aspects. If we define whether we "should" do something as whether it is the morally correct thing to do, there are far more ethical paradigms than deontological and teleological ethics to consider (such as egocentric ethics and moral nihilism). However, this would take the subjectivity out of the question, as these paradigms define the answer to any question containing "should". Any essay containing this term, therefore, would simply be discussing which school of thought to subscribe to in the given context.
