It's our first morning waking up in the Bukanka and what a view we woken up to!

Unfortunately things don't go as smoothly as we hoped... cue a breakdown on our first full day 😅 however the natural beauty of Kyrgyzstan makes up for it.

Today we leave the rolling green hills of Chong-Kemin National park and head towards Kyrgyzstan's largest lake - Issyk Kul.

Great that you also visited Lake Issyk Kul. It's the pearl in the mountainous crown of Kyrgyzstan. In the summer, it's crawling with tourists, but come September, you get the lake all to yourself, while the days are still balmy with a bit of that fall crispiness at night in the air. Perfection.
