As a former Army Soldier I 100% agree that women should not be in any combat MOS.

It’s only in the movies that women are able to be as strong and powerful as men when in combat. That is not reality.

There are some women who pretend that women are equipped for combat in wars, it doesn't make it true. Women have to deal with monthly issues like PMS, periods, some have cramps, we are emotionally and physically not built like alpha men.

I was in the Air Force and at that time, women weren’t going to combat. We would go to nearby areas as support staff.

While I was in, they started merging the dorms - putting men and women in closer proximity - sharing the bathroom between the rooms. So I saw the change coming and I got out.

I started in the Army as an 11B. I spent 9 years enlisted and then went WOC IERW I retired a CW4 with 27 years. I've been Infantry, Attach Helicopter, Military Intelligence Exploitation, The USAPAT Jet Detachment. Also a three year stint as an assignment officer at Army Perscom. That's my qualification to say: I disagree with women in Combat roles. Never say it be a good thing.

The only complication, Pete, is the woman being treated lesser. They are patriots too. There are men that have the same position, not as masculine as others. But they perform. Some with highest heroism awards. Do not judge on ego and physical makeup. Women have been in combat since the revolutionary war. What would you do without the women in battle to patch you up, save your life, stay with you while you die. Women have saved more men in battle than any one man, so don’t belittle them or knock them. Woman have seen the worse of battle. 24/7 their job looking at, patching up, saving, staying with until death comes. You belittle, ignore, deny the job women have always done. Been in the battle, staying and seeing the worse. D day, pacific, Europe fighting. They were there, just never recognized. Denied. Who do you think was in the tent, hut, whatever taking care of the troops. And yes, it would have been nice to be armed to fight back when their camps were overrun by the enemy or when behind enemy lines. Instead taken prisoner, tortured, raped, killed. Their first priority always was protect the patient before themselves. Give their life first. Their job was self sacrifice first to save the troops. Tuck your ego back in, Pete, and recognize the equal participation of women. In Vietnam, alot were in country, 3% were in combat. Do not belittle your counterparts or steal their valor as has been done throughout history.
