Sorin started off saying "nice laptop" and ended with "cheap laptop" lol. nice diag as usual!

0:21 I must say - that is VERY detailed professional issue description.
Too bad that most of the customers can only say "it doesn't work"

30:39 yes you have right.
touchpad, keyboard, fan speed, temperature sensors, LEDs, power button - all are managed by Super I/O (KBC, EC chip)

sorin its the bios chip (not the program the chip) i had the same issue with my dell precision 5530 it took me a month to find the problem, first my laptop would turn on after a minute then after a couple of weeks i had no sound (weird!) i programmed the bios but the issue stayed the same then one day i was trying to program a new version i realized the bios chip wouldn't program but when i heat it slightly it worked fine i bought a winbond chip instead of mx all problems magically solved i even had sound after that

Aim whether its the PCH or other SMD supporting components on the RTC power tack.
Find Schematics and check all the components on RTC.
If it's a PCH, it will be very hard to swap PCH and CPU preheat and hot air.

I have Dell Inspiron 3542, I was fixing it on BadCaps Forum, then continued on Electronic repair school, it would power on, but no picture. Then I heat up cpu, gpu with drying fan, and squeezed around cpu/gpu (not the chip itself) and it works now, only thing is if I shut it down, it can be no image again, LED light is sometimes working, sometimes its not working. I noticed if i put it to colder ambient temperature, laptop would turn on with Image.
And my solution was, to never put laptop to Shutdown, instead I customized to go to Sleep, instead, when I close the screen, or when I press power button. It has working battery and during sleep electricity stays in chips that are semi-faulty, and it turns on with image 100/100 everytime. Its not fully fixed.... But it can be used. I tried to stress test CPU for around 7 minutes, it was working perfectly, no freezing, nothing. Its running fast, temperatures are cold around 55-60 celsius, which is absolutely fine. So basically its a lottery what will die, in your case, it was freezing and completely unusable laptop.
For more details what was worked on and tested I'll put the link below, if someone is interested to read deeper, or if we didn't diagnose issue fully, and you know something I'm open to suggestions! :)

I'm almost convinced it's a faulty chipset, but I would replace the heatsink just to make sure it isn't a faulty heat pipe causing the problem. Although 630mW is a lot of power to consume for just an RTC running in the chipset. Would be interesting to compare with a working laptop of the same model.

Use best thermal paste and wire the fan to spin at max speed.

I had similar issue in my HP 17 inch 11-th gen i5. At the begining it indicated as the faulty CPU. After return to the laptop service point they have confirmed the fact that the CPU is faulty (inside short circuit) and it gets hot so quickly without any stress and turn off.

i cant' understand how 0.63 Watt can give that heat to the PCH.
In my case, if this is was on my hands, i would try to reflow the chipset with alot of flux around it and see if that would help.
Sorin, give it a try please and let us know.

In some laptops heatsink heat pipe failure/degradation it's possible too

I have a Lenovo v15 ada, AMD Ryzen 5 3500U. Am having almost identical issue. It always freeze with the heat sink and works perfectly when I remove the heat sink and use an external fan directly to CPU

Buna, senzorul termic la cpu este defect si ingheata imaginea. Va porni in momentul cand se receste procesorul.

Tpm can occur when bios is flashed or updated in dell. it is error in tpm region. Sorin it is not hardware problem, just look for ways to disable tpm.

jump the fan connection and make it run at high speed the moment you turn it on. that should work.

Waiting for the day, the customer writes on the ticket: Hello, so we're back, but this time we hab a customer job... here we have a Dell Inspiron, this is a laptop

You should test the current without the charger, because internal circuits in the charger can also draw some power, when you come with more voltage than the charger!

Can we start working with schematics like getting schematics from where and how to read them
