Honestly, the ZV-1 video looks far superior to the a6100. I like the skin tones the contrast to saturation.

Currently I have a dying a6300 which goes "system error" every 15 min while recording 4k, so I am looking for a replacement, I mostly do only review videos and all of my shots are stationary. What I've learn from my ownership of the a6300 is that I pretty much stick to the kit lens, I need manual controls on Iso, White balance, shutter speed and maximum recording time of 30 min in 4k. So between the a6100 and a ZV1 which one should I go with.

A review by a purchaser on Amazon states that the Sony ZV-1 camera does NOT film continuously. According to that person, although you can film continuously, the camera breaks down into 10 minute segments. Another reviewer reveals that the Sony ZV-1 does not interface with Apple's iOS. I would appreciate a comment from an actual user here. Both of these criticisms are deal breakers for me since I have an Apple MacBook Pro and am planning to get the new 24" desktop. I don't know enough about posting and editing videos on Apple to know why this wouldn't be so.

Dominic, I keep seeing that the stabilization sucks on this camera. Yes to all that you said here, but as a vlogging camera, rolling shutter and stabe seems lacking. Maybe you can address this in your next vid. Cheers.

Guys, I got ax100 and it seems not strong AF (blurring, very slow) I don't know if any of  a6100 or a6600 or Zv1 could match or give better image quality than ax100 because the lens in AX100 is very good.

I understand the sensors difference from 1 inch sensor all the way to Aps-c but still the lens in ax100 is very good (if anyone knows how much the lens cost of ax100? In equivalent to sony lens?) 

Both Zv1 and ax100 is one inch sensor both same sensor but I don't know if zv1 lens could beat or same ax100 lens? 

Do you think that a6600 or a6100 can beat the ax100 or zv1 with their own lens come with the body (in term of video quality)?

I think I understand. Smaller sensor and no fancy lense options. Better internal image sensor and mic. If you're going for cinematic quality stick with the A series. If you're going for practicality as vlogger... well... the explanations in the name. Although I will say, on the vlogging front, how far behind is the best GoPro or phone?
