Here is a small list of hotkeys that you can use.

Windows key + M Minimizes everything on the desktop.
Windows key + Q Opens a global search menu.
Windows key + W Opens a search in your system settings.
Windows key + F Opens file and folder search.
Windows key + E Opens Windows Explorer.
Windows key + , Makes all windows transparent, until released.
Windows key + . Snaps the window to the right or left side of the desktop.
Windows key + R Opens Run command box.
Windows key + X Opens the Content Access Menu.
Windows key + I Opens the settings menu.
Windows key + D Takes you to the desktop.
Windows key + Print Screen Takes a screenshot and saves it in Pictures folder called screenshots.
Windows key Opens tile screen.
Windows key + C Opens Charms Bar.
Windows key + Pause Break Displays system settings.
Windows key + + or - Displays Zoom feature.
Windows key + Esc Closes Zoom feature.

For us Yanks, "full stop" is the period (at 3:50). I had a friend who told us a story about working with a fellow from England who was helping with a presentation. My friend was writing down everything the English fellow was saying. He would say sa sentence or so, then "full stop", some more dictation, another "full stop". My friend asked him, what the heck is this full stop nonsense? The English fellow laughed and said "period" it means "period"! So when you talked about the Windows key + "." and said full stop, I had to laugh and said to myself, "how many Americans will wonder why he's showing a period and saying full stop". :-) Thanks for the info!
You also showed the Windows+Pause break at 6:39.. What is the Pause break? Not on my keyboard! :-)

Yes if search the web you can find them but it takes time too

Thanks for the info Brian - Just installed Window 8.1 on my NC10 and I was surprised how well its working, so these shortcuts will come in handy. Have a great weekend, though its looking like its gonna be well wet.

Thanks Brian, you download all the windows 8 shortcut key info from the net, there is quite a few places to get them till people get use to using them, I still like xp/7 layout though.
