For those of you who have no idea why Leon shot Buddy at the end, Buddy injected the plaga in him to control the B.O.W's, Leon stated in the church that the only way to get it out is paralysis or death. He shot Buddy in the spinal cord to stop the plaga so they can get it out, at the very end it shows Buddy in a wheel chair because he had paralysis. Also Leon got his vacation back :)

@KryptoZombie132, earlier in the movie, Leon says that there are only 2 possible consequences of an attempt to remove the Plaga, either severing the connection with a shot to the spinal cord (and thus, crippling the person) or death. Leon shot Alexander and now he will live, albeit confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. You can actually see Alex in the credits.

Er bekommt ein paar Mal kurzzeitig rote Augen. Wär viel leichter zu verstehen, wenn du den Film siehst. :)

haha me too, i was like wtf o.o, then i looked this up again and realised what happens.

Buddy wollte sich selbst abknallen, aber Leon hat dann nur den Parasiten umgebracht, sodass Buddy weiterleben kann. Nach den Credits gibt's noch eine Szene, wo Buddy im Rollstuhl sitzt.
PS: Beide Filme kommen aus Japan. :)
