I am so sorry you are selling Atticus. It is like losing a good friend, but I believe it was the best decision.

Atticus was a great starter boat for you. You learned all aspects of boat mechanics and repair while fixing her up, and she was small enough for you to gain great sailing experience in all types of situations. Time to upgrade to a bigger boat for the next phase in your adventure!

That was the right decision, although heartbreaking, I’m looking forward to the next chapter in your adventure.

The boat is speaking to you and saying I can't do this. Plans change, but the dream lives on. Looking forward to the journey ahead!

Remember you are the boat. The boat isn’t you. You bring compassion and yourself to this.♥️

It's not the boat, it's the journey. And you have learned so much!!

You’ve hardly started the journey ... no hand wringing ! repair it ! You have the glassing skills and it’s a pandemic so there’s plenty of time. You are the boat’s custodians and Atticus has looked after you .. you owe it to the lovely old tub and this sort of fix is part of the game

My husband has been sailing a old sailboat around the world when I met him. This boat has holes in places holes should never be. He has countless damage from storms and hurricanes. Then we were thrown on top of a dock during the recent hurricane! 2 bowling ball size holes from piling and he laughed and said things can always be worse! He repaired the holes on top of a dock and slid boat back in water! And said let’s go! Now he is replacing engine. When life’s gets rough you have to laugh! Once you finish repairs you will laugh

Sound decision - you won’t look back in a few months time when on your new boat sailing rather than maintaining. Can’t wait to see what you end up in and where you take her!

Ok here is my 2 cents. I have been refitting a 56’ catamaran for over 2 years, 1 year sailing in the Florida keys. There are always things to fix on a boat, that is just reality. I have been boating my entire life and my honest option is that I TRUST the boats I know the best. The vesselI know better than others is the one i refit from the ground up, keep Atticus. You know her better than the next vessel. To will take you more than 4 months to find a boat so why bother looking for another problem. Fix the bulk head and move on, it is not a big deal and the advantage of the opportunity and make some updates.

Atticus has been the the teacher of your lives. Her value on your lives is priceless. Look at what you now know and have shared with the world. My heart is broken, but I don't think you have a choice.

Your journey with Atticus has been enthusiastic learning and enjoyable. Now Atticus begins her new journey with R&R, rest and repair, to begin a new journey with a new happy human at her helm. And Your new journey, well, is coming up on the horizon, and we are happy to see what's coming next. Thanks for all the memories.

Good decision. In the immortal words of Roy Scheider (Chief Brody) in the movie Jaws: "we're gonna need a bigger boat!"

You two bought and resurrected a craft and sailed it majestically! Project Atticus is so very much more then the vessel itself! I know the emotions and ties to it are attached directly to your heart. We feel that with each video you share! When I look at what Atticus has provided thus far, I see nothing short of her being an amazing success. To be honest I'd like to see Atticus purchased and displayed for all to see. Like a boating museum. Or semi retired to a more carefree sailing life. Coastal waterways and such. I kind of feel you all have made Atticus larger then life for all of us! Thanks, God Bless and best wishes for what the future holds!

We feel the same way about selling Adrenaline and our other boats. You put so much work, time, money, sweat, and tears into a boat it feels like you are betraying her. Probably the right move though you guys. Good luck with it all and we cant wait to see what you get next!

Wow, only a couple of hours into the kickstarter and you're already nearly fully-funded. Congratulations on the future new boat! Such a great testament of your channel, your audience and the generosity of the community.

Well, I sure didn't know I'd be crying at a sailing video today when I woke up this morning; but here we are. Its been so beautiful watching you guys on this adventure so far. I can't wait for the next season and I'm so glad you've decided to make videos so we can all be a part of it.
Much Love.
