Hey! Welcome to HOWZA channel! In today's tutorial, we will teach you how to create and configure a hyperlink in OpenOffice.
Launch Open Office.
Click on Open in the main menu. A new window will open. Choose the document that you need and click on Open.
Select the text that you want your hyperlink to connect to. We will turn the title of the stories into links. Go to Insert at the top menu bar. Choose Bookmark from the list. A new window will open. Give the Bookmark a name. Click Ok.
Scroll down to your list of contents. Select the corresponding text. Click on the Hyperlink at the top menu bar. A new window will open. Go to the Target in the Document field. Type the name of the bookmark. Click on Apply. Click on Close.
Let’s create another hyperlink. Select the text that you want your hyperlink to connect to. Go to Insert at the top menu bar. Choose Bookmark from the list. A new window will open. Give the Bookmark a name. Click Ok.
Scroll down to your list of contents. Select the corresponding text. Click on the Hyperlink at the top menu bar. A new window will open. Go to the Target in the Document field. Type the name of the bookmark. Click on Apply. Click on Close.
You can click on the links in your table of contents to go to the designated text areas in the document.
