Getting wood off berry bush could be used for high early aggression. Take one or two off wood and on bushes and this turns into a food bonus rather than a wood bonus. I think we'll be seeing Portuguese scout rushes.

Or use the wood bonus at face value and mine gold a little early for an archer push.

3:14 I think the point of it was that they weren't intended to block splash damage that hits nearby units. Pretty vaguely worded though?

Portuguese team bonus actually makes since because even in history, Portugal shared most of their findings with other civilizations. For example, Portugal was the one who introduced Japan to Gun Powder Weaponry.

Shirvamsha riders used to block the damage for near by units. Basicly a monk in a group of Shirvamsha would not get any damage from a mangonal.

The bug they were talking is if you have archers or a manganal with a sriwamshwa rider they it will soke all the splash damage from the enemy manganal making mananal fights basically unfair cause with a shriwamshwa rider your own manganal will not take any damage

Shared vision for teamgames is pretty huge change. Interested to see how this changes the meta! Also, the combination of cheaper BE and shared vision might be a pretty nice buff to Khmer on Arena.

I have the same bias against making civs more generic, but it was obvious they had to nerf Poles somehow due to competitive play.

I think that the problem for the Shrivamsha rider was that it prevented the splash damage from applying to units next to it. Very odd interaction and it certainly did not make sense.

The shivirasmha rider (however it is spelled) hotfix is when it was on a mangonel, it was blocking the shots for the mangonel from another mangonel. I think they fixed that.

As I understand the splash damage change: Previously, when a Onager was hitting a group of units and one of them was the Shrivamsha rider, that one would soak up the damage and thus protect nearby units. That was removed, now they are just blocking the damage to themselves.

Battle elephants need a change that touches their exploitation: Being outmaneuvered all the time
Just give them much more attack, but lower the rate, so the dps in straight fights would remain the same.
In particular, give them 18/21 attack at 3.0 ROF (maybe make it 3.1 to make sure that 2 BEs cannot kill a pikeman before he gets his 2nd hit)
This would greatly help them to deal damage in castle age (to xbows, kts), but they will remain about the same in the lategame, when maneuvers are increasingly out of control

As comparison: The spear line is another slow - but still very popular - unit. And they also work as a high-punch-low-rate unit

I think the Shrivamsha Rider problem was that they negated the whole shot of a mangonel, even for non-Shrivamsha Rider units caught in the blast. Think of it like them having a Gungan Shield that other units could hide under, which was not intended.
