MSI GT75 Review - i9 and GTX 1080 OVERCLOCKING

preview_player
Показать описание
The MSI GT75 could easily be mistaken for a tank, and it’s got enough gaming power inside to back that up, with Nvidia 1080 graphics and an i9-8950HK CPU it’s a serious beast. In this detailed review we’ll see just how well this thick gaming laptop performs in benchmarks while overclocked. I’ll also cover battery life, thermals, system noise, undervolting, and basically everything else to help you find out if this laptop is worth the money.

Came here after the GT77 review. Its amazing that desktop replacement laptops don't need to be so thick anymore, neither two power bricks. Also you sound like a totally different person here Jarrod, was it the microphone?

You should add Final Fantasy 15 to your tests since it's pretty taxing. Would love to see your results on Portable Workstations like this lol.

So you have covered the Predator 500 and the MSI GT 75 in the last week. I wonder if the ASUS ROG G703GXS99k will be up soon as well?

those numbers are quite impressive ( ac origins locked 60 on ultra on laptop is crazy) and msi show that even with top cpus they have good cooling solution in Titans.
Honestly little bit to big for me as i said before im going with Clevo p755 (prema bios), not so thick as P870 but with much better cooling than p670 , anyways really great review!!!

I have occasion to buy this beauty with i7 from second hand, is it worth for the price of the new Lenovo or MSI with RTX 2060?

Who would've thought a laptop can be dumbbells alternatives. Gotta work that bicep while preparing my stuffs for gaming!

It could be worth buying once the RTX laptops drop and the price plummets, depending on the notebook 2070 performance which will likely be comparable until better drivers are developed. Then again even this beast isn't very future proof given the way Nvidia is trying to steer the market, hard to say if it's at all worth the extortionate price 3 years into the 10xx generation...

If a laptop comes with an MXM graphics card in it, chances are it's so **thicc** you might as well just build a SFF PC and buy a usb C portable monitor for the 2 times a year you actually need to take it to a LAN party.

I mean, this is more than a computer. It’s very good as a gym on the go. Plus if someone tries to jump you, just smack them with the gt80 and they’ll be knocked out.

Haha amazing review as always but the GT series are too much, as well as the asus ones. I don’t see what market likes these big monstrous machines

Wish the base of it was slanted so that the keyboard is at an angle. Gonna need to buy a higher chair to help get on a comfortable typing level with this behemoth. Dx

Hi Jarrod, your laptop video reviews are the most professional I've come across on YouTube. Could you try to review the refreshed ASUS ROG Chimera G703GI boasting the 8th gen core i9-8950HK and GTX 1080? Very few reviews for it and the only in-depthreview is from notebookcheck. So another pro review from you would be so welcomed. I Wonder if the thermal solution can handle it at advertised 4.8 GHz boost while gaming without any throtling (Linus even mentionned a 5Ghz boost but no data to back it up). You already reviewed MSI's Titan and it's the competition to ASUS' Chimera. Edit: Also I think adding TW: Warhammer 1/2 to your benchmark suite woukd be grear to test more cpu bound games. And see how that extra cpu cache affects fps.
