My mom has spent the last decade whining about the "elites" controlling the country, and when the actual richest man in the world literally commits crimes in broad daylight to bribe votes for the candidate she supports, she doesn't bat an eye. 😣

American Democracy died long ago with Citizens United. Either party gets elected, the billionaires were going to look for that return on investment. One party just happens to be more overtly racist.

The good news is Maine’s ballot measure to limit spending to super PACs got passed. The bad news is that since it conflicts with earlier cases it goes to the Supreme Court which is famously incorruptible

This is how this election makes me feel. It’s like being in court and the judge forces me go back to an abusive and toxic relationship the next for 4 years. 😢💔
