At least 17 people have been killed and dozens injured after two Russian missiles struck an apartment building and a recreation centre in Odesa late on Thursday night, Ukrainian officials have said.

Ukraine’s armed forces issued an alert urging residents to seek shelter after three explosions and air raid alarms were heard just before 1am local time. Local officials said children were among the injured

Judging by the damage to the apartment block it was probably hit by Ukrainian malfunctioning or intercepted anti-aircraft missile from S-300 system. These systems shouldn't be placed near high-rise buildings, but Ukrainians always use civilians as a human shield to protect these systems (Buk and S-300). Sometimes S-300 missiles are intercepted by Buk missiles due to lack of coordination between units. Similar cases already happened in Odessa and Kiev, but Ukrainians keep doing it.
