Incognito mode is a feature in major browsers that allows you to browse the internet more privately. When you go incognito, your sessions aren’t recorded on your device.

However, there is a pervasive myth that incognito mode protects your data from snoopers, your internet service provider, or even hackers. It doesn’t. Incognito mode deletes cookies when you close the window, keeping your browsing history empty. However, it does save the files you download and the bookmarks you create

It’s a great privacy tool for those who share their computers with others or use public computers. Sometimes private browsing can also help you book cheaper flight tickets or hotel rooms. Without incognito, the airline or hotel website may know that you checked your chosen dates before and hike up their prices accordingly.

How safe is incognito mode? It blocks your browser from recording your traffic, but it doesn’t hide your IP. A third party can still track you. Incognito mode doesn’t encrypt your traffic or route it through a remote server like a VPN.

Incognito mode erases your browsing history and deletes cookies when you close the browser and removes the data you enter in online forms. Your internet service provider or employer, websites, search engines, governments, and other third parties can still collect your data and track your IP address.

If you log into Facebook, Amazon, or anywhere else while incognito, those sites are going to know about it. If you sign in to one of Google’s multiple apps, Chrome will also start recording your cookies and history again.

How to browse privately? Use a browser or browser extension that protects your privacy from third parties. With the right settings, Firefox is a good mainstream choice. But it doesn’t come close to more specialized browsers. The Tor browser offers maximum privacy, but it can run a bit slow because of the multiple nodes it sends your traffic through.

Why would I use an extremelly expensive vpn if I can do it for free and on my own.... also vpn's are data gathering sites for the likes of "google" (i'm not sure about facebook, probs not) so your privacy claims are not that great. Also It is actually a direct competitor to goggle an likes coz of usage and data gathering and exchange.... keep up the good work
