No matter how bad things look or how long it seems like it’s taking God to move, just know, He is always moving and working things out for your good.He is always fighting for His children. His mercies are brand new every morning! Seek HIM. And you shall find HIM. Knock and the door will be opened for you to spend time with HIM. Turn your eyes upon JESUS! Look full at His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the Light of His glory and grace! ABIDE, ABIDE, ABIDE IN HIM! Lord God Almighty! Draw us today! Open our eyes and give us devine opportunities to share the Good news of the gospel. We were created to worship You with our lives. Gives us the desire to get about it. You are everything dear God. Thank You for loving us. We love You. In Jesus name amen💜💜💜

The Lord restores and will bring the New Heaven to the New Earth. So He’s telling me to be at peace even as we see things torn apart, for He will restore and reunite and heal.

How sweet that you pray for us. It’s a reminder that we should also pray for you. ❤

Our Lord is the Most High. He is sovereign over every other type of authoritative capacity that exists.

This is all making more sense even after going back to review Genesis. Then the day of the Lord video on Vimeo and going back through 1st and 2nd kings review!! Wow!! I am blown away!! Also side note I forgot the though many prophets champion Jehu he still did not finish well. This is so good!! Man’s attempt for righteousness in their own strength is never successful!! I can’t wait for the New Testament to tie to all of this Old Testament stuff. I always catch the nuggets each year going over this!! This is so yummy!!! Thanks!! Tara!!

My God shot is from Psalm 83:18 - “Then they will learn that You alone are called the LORD, that You alone are the Most High, Supreme over all the earth.” What a powerful message about who my God is and WHO HE IS FOR ALL!

The book of Obadiah reminds us how much God wants brotherly love, not only between blood brothers but among all peoples, because we are all offspring of God.

"For the day of the Lord is near upon all the nations. As you have done, it shall be done to you; your deeds shall return on your own head" (Obadiah 1:15 ESV).

The day of the Lord is certainly drawing near! All of the things that are currently happening, not just in the United States but in most countries, are signs. The moral decline. The crazy weather patterns. Racism. Divisions. Wickedness. Lawlessness. The Lord has had the foreknowledge about all of these things taking place. But, Yahweh is faithful. He will bring justice to the weak and the fatherless. He will maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. He will rescue the weak and the needy and deliver all from the hand of the wicked. (Psalm 82:3‭-‬4) The day is coming when everyone will know who God is and that He alone is God. His name is the Lord, and He is the Most High over all the earth. (Psalm 83:18) That is such a great comfort to my soul. Praise His holy name!

It's strange. I'm not sure I could say anything really NEW I've learned, but I do fins that spending time in His word each day gives me peace that I didn't have before.

This was a deep recap. I love how you zoomed in on that we are gods statement. It makes so much more sense to me now. Also, I love that God is so protective of His children.

🎵 🎶 Believe it or not, there's a progressive-influenced rock song from the mid 1970s that mentions Obadiah. The lyrics are amazing:

Obadiah, open Edom's eyes
Heaven's fire
Will soon be laid upon your earthbound lives
Let there be no doubt
You're gonna get what you give out

I could set you free
But you must turn back to me

Tell it over and over and over and over again
Tell it over and over and over and over again

Zephaniah, sell your prophecy
Oh, heavy buyer
Tear down the bed of your idolatry
Hearts that turn to gold
Will be turned to hearts of stone

I could set you free
But you must turn back to me

Jeremiah, how great your pain must be
To have the answer
And yet the people still refuse to see
Let there be no doubt
There is only one way out

I could set you free
But you must turn back to me

(From "Jeremiah" by Michael Omartian)

“God is love” (1 Jn 4:16), and “love always protects” (1 Cor 13:7). It’s in His nature as a loving God to protect us and reward us for faithfulness. Just as Israel’s enemies (Sisera, Oreb, Zeeb, Zebah, and Zalmunna, Ps 83:11) in Judges fell, so Israel’s enemies today will fall, and so will the godless who oppose Him in pride. But Obadiah is a warning to me, too, to be humble and grateful for God’s protection. He will bring His kingdom to the new earth (Rev 21:1), and restore us to Him and our loved ones.

Psalm 82 to me is like the psalmist is watching God watch the world, commenting as he watches the rulers of the world. God says in verse 2, “How long will you hand down unjust decisions by favoring the wicked?” And then it’s like Him throwing up His hands in exasperation in verse 4, “Rescue the poor and helpless; deliver them from the grasp of evil people.” He calls them oppressors and then calls them ignorant, wandering in darkness as the world around them trembles. In the end God says, yes you are gods, my children, but you will die like anyone else.

God defends the weak and the fatherless, upholds the cause of the poor and the oppressed, and rescues the weak and needy. He does these things through His people.
