The Karnataka assembly is heading towards a big showdown as the BJP-led government is expected to table the controversial anti-conversion bill during the winter session. Meanwhile, the Opposition has vehemently opposed the bill, with senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah saying the bill is part of the BJP’s “communal agenda”. The Archbishop of Bengaluru, Peter Machado, has also urged the government to withdraw the proposed bill, saying it "will not bring good to anyone".

I find the whole debate very cheap. Nobody forced me to follow christianity. I loved the teaching of The Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible clearly states repent from sin and walk in the light. It is conversion of mind and heart. I never knew anything about The Holy Spirit. Holy Bible taught me about The Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is God and your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Lovely teaching. I love my Master's teaching. He died for my sins. I have been made righteous in Him. What more can I ask for. The Holy Spirit teaches us to pray and stay connected with God Almighty. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is The Lord. Amen

Any man forcefully converted has full right to denounce it and run away and complain to authority as provided by law.

In US and UK the country is free to profess any religion, the hindhus population has grown in these countries so does it mean we as citizens of these countries should band Hinduism growing, what the BJP has done is totally uncalled-for

What about the politicians allurement and force to vote for their parties? Is there no law for such force?

How can someone be forcefully converted ? When that person can go back home and do whatever they want to worship. Unless they lock u up in a room.

Firstly, when the Christian missionaries claim, that there are no forcible conversions, no conversions by allurement, no conversions by deceit & deception, then WHY OBJECT TO THE LAW AT ALL ? This doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

A good move. All pastors should be banned and ask them to do some work and earn.

Mr. Pai, I will be forwarding this to the Christian politicians in the US. Best of luck Infosys and your employees working in the US enjoying complete freedom of religion!
This will be fun. 😊😊😊

Hinduism doesn't go around converting people. Thus this conversion law is a must.

Do you think its that easy to convert a person, when it is one's own wish to choose their faith any force cannot change a people's faith. one should simply understand the basis of this and stop harassing the Christians and the Church.

Yes it is clearly unconstitutional, and also it marks the end of democracy in India

It appears caste conversion is the priority of the Government rather than looking into the issues of development.
