Taking Up Space and Not Bothering People

I struggled with the "fear of bothering people" issue for so much of my life and I see it a lot with other people. Today, I want to talk about it. It affects so much of how we live. It affects how we build our apps, look for jobs, or create content.

Are you new here?  I'm glad you showed up.

I'm Eric Wroolie.  I make apps.  And I run Overpass.

Overpass is a mobile app development agency based in Oxfordshire in the UK.  I started it back in 2004 before there were even app stores! 

Now, the company is myself and a small team of designers and developers.  We outsource what we can and try to keep costs low, but I still code here and there.

My apps have been downloaded tens of millions of times globally and I have lived the ups and downs of being an app developer.

I started creating videos back in 2014 and have created over a thousand videos since.  If you can't tell, I can talk about apps all day.  We also talk about running a small business and self-improvement on this channel.

One of the best advice I heard in my life. Learn to take up space, do what "I" want and think right...others opinions comes second

So true. I also struggle with it all the time. For me, it's probably because I'm not at all self-confident. Always the fear that others might think badly of me or that I might do something wrong.

Great advice. I also have an app and I don’t want to put ads on there so I won’t annoy my users. This advice is great for all businesses and life in general.

Hey Eric! I was wondering if you know of anyone who writes business plans/ proposals for service apps? My team is building an app like TripAdvisor only it's for adventure. We really need some assistance with the proposal so we can have it to present to VC's.
