I have to braid mine, then spray and apply product with the praying hands method in the morning. It doesn't matter how I sleep, what products i use, how I wrap it, even with a silk scarf and pillow case, my hair is dry/frizzy in the morning. I've tried for years, and bought all types of products. The only time My Curls stay for a couple of days is when I treat it like a heat Style, like they do in the salon with the hooded dryer. Because of this, I personally prefer it pressed. Like whenever people ask me "how is your curly hair so long" I'm always really hesitant to admit that most of the time it's straightened. But because I buy salon quality products, I can straighten it once a month, have it last for 3 weeks, and then I wear a wash and go for a day or 2 before I throw it in a bun/braid. It was so fun when it was shorter but now it's long af. curly hair is so heavy and I need A LOT of product, water, and styling to get the look I want. It's been really hot this week, so I have been giving the straightener a break. Im already more than halfway through my curl pudding after styling twice 😭 When it's straight, It's just done. I barely have to touch it. All I do is add hair oil and massage sometimes.

i tried this on my 3a/3b curls and i worked great i put i little bit of oil before bed so i wake up with shiny curls and i love it

With my heavy ass hair, I’ll wake up with a migraine if I leave it in a bun 😂

This just makes it worse for me😭
But what I do is just put all my hair in a silk bonnet (w/o a hair tie or anything) and it makes sure that it doesn’t crease and get stuck in the wonky position lol.

I hate putting a hair ties or even a scrunchie in my hair while I’m sleeping because it leaves a like kink in my hair that I can’t get rid of until my hairs wet again
