Strange that TB never made another video regarding this game despite mentioning multiple times on this Early Look that he’d continue to cover it. I have very fond childhood memories of TA and would’ve loved to have seen a WTF Is of Planetary Annihilation. Rest easy Biscuit, we miss ya man..

It is based on Kickstarter price, for gaining access to early testing. The final product will be probably priced at much more standard rate

Destroyed the AI today by crashing a moon into its planet.

Could have won far more easily, but the moon crash is far more satisfying. ^_^

i have bought it yesterday. only played 1 match against the AI. its a great game so far. Hopefully it will become a big game in E-sports. On my channel i will also upload matches is the near future

I mean games where economy affects units produced, and the units produced affect the economy where this process is maintained in real time through base building, real time tactics, individual unit micro, all under an overall grand strategy which evolves in real time, with UI design driven entirely by the goal to give the player as much control as possible. Only a few games fit this, true definition of RTS and the last of these being Supcom FA.

I still prefer Supreme Commander FA. Even though it's in a much later version, PA it's not nearly as fun and unique as Supcom FA. The globe shape maps just sort of make it confusing and the economy is so horrible. I hope when it's out of early access it will be much more fun.

In this case it is not about how finished / Polished the game is. It is about time. You get to play it now in alpha, aswell as Beta when that games, and the full game.

IMO, this is the third game by these devs to make a huge step forward in the RTS genre :D

This title introduces spherical maps and multiple at the same time.
Supcom introduced the amazing mouse zoom
TA pioneered... heck, too much to list.

It is this originality that ill always be a fan of chris taylor and all of the devs that work on these titles.

$90 is for the special edition that includes extra early access and some other features. It is the same price people on Kickstarter paid for what you get. Don't like it? Then get a different edition. The price will drop to a lower tier of early access after the proper amount of time has passed. If you want only the finished game at the lowest price, then wait until release. Or you can preorder the game at any pricing tier from their website directly (not on Steam).

just bit of an update PA is now 30 dollars as fixed price .. 1.0 is sceduled to be released in a couple of months however no specific date given
1.0 however doesnt mean that it will be feature complete as development for the game will continue past release...
also currently a bit of a possible bummer is that 1.0 might not give offline play or serveraccess however that may come in a short timeperiod after release ... for further information visit the uberentertainment forum

Go onto their site. They have several preorder packages but can't sell them all at once on Steam. The game will retail for 40 bucks and release in December, but you can pay 60 to get beta access or 90 and get alpha.

The game is currently $90.00 on Steam because the only package available for purchase online right now is the "Galactic Edition" which comes with some extras. In September, the "Warfare Edition" will be released (the beta) and that will cost $60. Finally, the official game will be released in December for $40. So, in short, wait until September, when a lot of bugs will be worked out and the price will drop by $30 since the "digital artbook" will not be included, which takes $30.00 of the price.

I didn't even realize they were making a sequel, Total annihilation was my favorite game as a kid and im so glad they are rebooting it with what looks to be an amazing game when its done.

also I think conserving energy just slows down building units as if you were low on energy, its slows down in order for the energy you are conserving to be used elsewhere.
its almost NEVER used since if you are low on energy you'll make energy plants to counter the energy recession. (yes I did)
