#Hyundai has boosted the #Tucson Active X's safety credentials for 2020 with SmartSense as standard. But has a price rise cancelled the value benefit out? Curt Durpiez finds out.

Price seems quite steep for a model 5 years into it's life with only a vague update 2 years ago and the addition of a basic AEB for 2020.. I know that Hyundai is no longer cheap and nasty but I think there are some better options in this price range.

There is no adaptive cruse control in the Active X, it now starts in the Elite model. It’s a pity Hyundai removed one of the best things in the safety range and it can’t be optioned.

I’d suggest you go drive one over the expansion joints on the Tullamarine freeway! The suspension bounces and bucks as if the 2 ends are from different cars and were designed by suspension engineers who took toilet breaks the day cohesion was being discussed. Bloody awful would be how I describe the suspension.

The 2020 actually has a diferent face lift and rear head lights longer ... United by a light line !
