I used to work at Walmart 7 years ago on night shift as an inventory associate. One night while working, it was raining outside so we had people coming into the store just to get out of the rain. Employees didn’t think anything of people coming in and just going into the bathroom or sitting and waiting near the front of the store. An hour into our night shift, another associate went to use the restroom at the front of the store. When the associate went into the restroom, he noticed someone was using one of the stalls. When the associate came out of the restroom, he asked the cashier that was on duty if they remember seeing someone go into the restroom. The cashier told the associate that several people have used the restroom. After the cashier being asked by the other associate, the cashier started paying attention to anyone that used the restroom. The cashier noticed that no one used the restroom after an hour, so the cashier went to that same associate from earlier and told him that no one has used the restroom for an hour now and asked the associate why he asked. The associate said he noticed someone in one of the stalls and that there belongings were laying on the floor, the door was closed so they didn’t bother, thinking they were just trying to get out of the rain and stay warm and dry. After the cashier told the other associate about no one using the restroom, the associate went back to the restroom and looked to see if that same person was still in there. The associate saw that they were still there, so the associate knocked on the stall door and asked if they were ok? After nothing in return and no noises being heard, the associate got the manager to check the restroom. The manager knocked on the stall and asked if the person was ok and heard nothing in return. So, the manager decided to see if maybe the person in the restroom was being quiet so they would be left alone and acted like they were leaving the restroom and opened the door and let it close while staying inside. The manager stayed waiting inside the restroom for 5 minutes and heard nothing, so the manager walked back up to the stall and knocked again asking if everything was ok and off they needed help. With no response again from the person I’m the stall, the manager said they were going to have to call the police. The manager got on the radio and said to the assisting manager to call the police over the radio because someone in the restroom not responding. The manager figured this would cause the person for sure to come out, however they didn’t and no sound was still heard. So the police on the way, the manager decided it was enough and looked over the stall door saying I’m looking over the door before they did. No response still, the manager proceeded and saw the person fully dressed and slumped over sitting on the toilet, the person was not even using the restroom, just sitting and resting. The manager figured they were a deep sleeper, so the manager got the door unlocked and when they opened the door they could see everything clearer. The person in the stall had there sleeve rolled up and a needle sticking out of there arm. The manager left the restroom and blocked it off with cones so no one would use it. The manager stayed in front of the restroom waiting for the police to arrive. Once the police arrived, they went into the stall and tried to awaken the person in the stall with no prevail, so the police then checked his pulse. The person in the stall was deceased, an ambulance was called and after emt’s arrived they examined the person in the stall and ruled it an overdose. The body was removed on a stretcher and the bathroom was closed down for an investigation by the police. After body examination by the coroner, the store manager was advised that there was no foul play in the persons death and it was in doubt a drug overdose. In the months to come, customers would say they feel like they’re being watched and at times the water would just turn on. Employees would also notice stranger occurrences in that restroom and explain them to other staff and the store manager. All associates assumed that it was the ghost of the deceased person and thought nothing else of it. Eventually after release of the obituary employees found out that persons name that overdosed, since then everyone would use his name when something strange would happen and not be startled or frightened. When using that persons name, anything strange would stop. Now, the ghost is still there and everyone is accustomed to them and are not rude to the ghost or scared.

I have a similar story about a CVS. During the hight of the pandemic, I had to renew my driver's license. Normally they simply give you an eye test. However since only the lobby of the DMV was open and they had 2 kiosk machines printing licenses, with 1 security guard on duty sitting about 10 feet away from everyone. In order to get my eye test, I had to drive to this very remote CVS. So I went. When I entered this CVS, it looked like a store right out of the apocalypse. There was literally maybe 10 to 20 items on the shelves in whe whole store. I mean everything was gone! Even stuff that was not needed at all for the pandemic. All gone. I went back a few months later just to see what it looked like after life was returning to normal, THE CVS WAS VACANT, there was no sign it was ever there.

Surprisingly enough shit happens all the time at stores.
I use to work at a Kmart when I was 16, 17, and 18 and I worked in the clothes department I'd get calls from men (maybe the same man for all I know) all the time asking me to try on lingerie if they came in. They're just busy places with unsuspecting victims.

I had a creepy guy follow me around in a Walmart late at night. I stared him down until he went away, which was good because I was seconds away from calling the police. Later, I saw him come out of the back while talking on the phone. I figured he must be security to make sure people aren't stealing and was pretty pissed off. He was super creepy and got way too close. Hire people who shower and don't wear socks with flip flops.

Imagine walking into a robbery but having so little street smarts you actually end up saving yourself because you’re so clueless, the robbers don’t see you as a threat. Saved by lack of street smarts, Plot TWIST. 🤣👏🏾
